Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized for her pioneering work in studying eyewitness testimony and child witnesses in the legal setting. Prof. Goodman has published extensively as well as received numerous grants. She has also been recognized with many international and national distinctions. She has offered advice on policy and research to numerous agencies and government departments around the globe. She serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association's three divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
